Love the border, it works (others might bag you but). Photo composition is great. Meets the challenge without being boring. Road leads to an interesting topic. Light is great, road in shadow, ruins in light.
A touch of green maybe to boost the trees/hills perhaps???

I am a huge fan of ancient architecture, and the small building near the back gives this photo the appearance of an unfrequented area.

I usually don't notice borders, but this is overly elaborate and takes away a lot of image area that could've added to the impact of the shot.

I'm sorry if that seems flippant. It's just that the juxtaposition of the boat with the wake trail that "touches" the nose looks funny to me! (I hope that's understandable...) :)
