I think that the splendid quality of this shot lays in the fact that the birch tree trunks have details, as opposed to a slew of similar impressionistic shots of elongated and blurry trees.
This forest is teaming with fire flies and no overlay is gratuitous. The enchanted forest.

Terrific picture - Love the look of the girl on the bike - has a sort of fifties Americas feel to it, yet clearly Chinese.

Funny contrast between that picture and the one below it as she is barely covered - yet the great leader is wrapped up in hat and coat.

If I had to choose between them I would definitely vote for her ;- )

Oh Sarah!!!! I am mad for this. I love the linear quality. I see images such as this and just swoon. I am particularly fond of it in BW with that scratchy layer, to appear as though there is a scrubby brush beneath the trees. I swear, this would be so awesome really huge with a gigantically wide mat and thin metal black frame. LURVE~
