The Korean Bellby FastexposureComment by BHuseman: I don't like the black and white conversion here. The object you photographed has vibrant colors and dulling those with black and white doesn't help. |

The Korean Bellby FastexposureComment by jah_luv: Great shot. Korean buddhism certainly knows zen. But where's the bell? lol...
Anyway, nice minimal use of color and nice subject. Great job! |

Fallen Giantsby FastexposureComment by jdannels: Joshua, thanks for your comment on my on the beach entry and I thoght I would return the comment. This is a cool shot I love the fallen trees and I went to school in San Luis Obispo so its nice to see something taken close to there. I really like like your attempt to match the smoothness of the water to the tree. But my tow things I might try to change would be to be closer to the tree since it is alittle hard to see how smooth the tree is. The second is that the photo appears alittle cool and wish the photo had more tints of red and magentas. That is only my opinion though and you can take it if you would like. THanks again for your comment and way to have such a high finish.

Fallen Giantsby FastexposureComment by jah_luv: Great job! I loved the soft tonal quality of this shot, with the slightest hint of color coming from the sky. I love the way that the sand emits the wetness from the waves that have once covered it. I wish there was a little more color and definition (or less processing) in the water itself, as it appears to be fog more than it is water. But a great job in keeping with the theme, and making a photo that I don't have to fight to figure out how you met the challenge. I'm raising my original score from a 5 to a 7. |
