I'm guessing that some of the art fiends will see this as nature documentary vs art. Being a nature fan, I have a tendency to find most nature shots more documentary than art, because there are just so many that there's a been there done that feel.

This, however, really works for me. The lighting is spectacular. The crop is awesome. And it just makes you feel like you're flying, as well. Art should evoke something in you. It should make you curious, intrigued, sad, angry, it needs to transcend just simply documenting the world. I'm not sure why this fits in that category for me. But it does. Well done.

Good idea. My only issue is that the shot appears to be in focus front to back. It kind of flattens the image. Maybe a little bokeh in the background could have helped this. JMO :)
