I like the way you tried to tell a story with this. Wish the bird were in sharper focus, though, and it would be good if its face & beak stood out more from the background.

A cold day, good thing someone is feeding them. Photo is a bit fuzzy and blurry and the light is a bit too harsh on the bird.

Good subject, certainly on topic.
However, the photo would look better if you had taken more care with your background. A large piece of white paper curved upward behind the tin would have given you a smooth backdrop. As it is, I keep looking at the upper left hand corner trying to work out what I'm looking at.

A wider aperture might help blur the background more to make it less distracting from the subject. Having the bird's eye at the far left of the photo leads the viewer's eye out of the photo rather than into it.

The only thing here that bothers me is the reflection in the upper-left corner. Otherwise, a great shot.
