 An 11th hour pic. Clean but boring shot of an interesting, simple and versatile product that's been around for decades.

I do use it, but on my lips and in extreme cold, on face to protect against frostbite...nowhere else!!

pp: crop, curves, brightness/contrast, hue/saturation, resize, usm, sharpen edges, save for web

I've learnt that old product shots never do well in DPC. I don't expect this to be an exception

Good subject, certainly on topic.
However, the photo would look better if you had taken more care with your background. A large piece of white paper curved upward behind the tin would have given you a smooth backdrop. As it is, I keep looking at the upper left hand corner trying to work out what I'm looking at.

The only thing here that bothers me is the reflection in the upper-left corner. Otherwise, a great shot.

Great title - I don't think I'd have spent the time looking at the uses on the side but with the title it really diverted attention. Would have been a nicer shot if you could have kept a clean background as those tiles are a tad in the way, and the texture of the goop itself could be brought out better with a bit more DoF (if sharper you may well win more points for the 'ooo shiny' factor)
