A birdfeeder, which I was given, stuffed full of birdseed, which I had to buy, and a chickadee stuffing its little face. It's actually a droplet of FROZEN water, for those who might've been worried for the birdy's safety.

I like the way you tried to tell a story with this. Wish the bird were in sharper focus, though, and it would be good if its face & beak stood out more from the background.

A cold day, good thing someone is feeding them. Photo is a bit fuzzy and blurry and the light is a bit too harsh on the bird.

A wider aperture might help blur the background more to make it less distracting from the subject. Having the bird's eye at the far left of the photo leads the viewer's eye out of the photo rather than into it.

Heh! Well, did it? A busy background takes away from your main subject some, but it is what it is. The ice serves as a nice reminder that it's cold out there, too.

The feather detail in the whites are blown out with too much contrast or overexposure. The focus is a little soft. It would also look better in landscape instead of portrait because the subjet is long not tall.

Fun, shame he seems to be a little out of focus

OVEREDITED! You rudely asked for more so here you go.

To start with, it appears obvious to me the image was way to soft in original form. The focal point was clearly on the bird seed and not on the bird. To compensate for the poor exposure it appears you did anything and everything possible to bring about some focus, but clearly destroyed the feel of the image in the process.

Now, let's talk about overall composition. The image is unbalanced. It is weighted to the left third, with very little counterbalance to the right. In short, it made me feel like I had to fall to the left to view it. Instead of a vertical shot, you might find a horizontal rendition more appealing to the eye.

Finally, let's look at how intensely your blurred the background. The same effect, in a more pleasing to they eye manner, could be achieved with the camera.

In conclusion, when voting on an image I look for feeling. Does the image invoke a feeling? Your image made me ill. Would I be tempted to pick up an image if I viewed it at a store? Your's would never feel the touch of my fingers. Would I be moved to purchase the image? In your case, absolutely not.

Nothing personal, but this image is not good work product.
