MinimalDay7.6Web1.jpgby cogeroxComment by roz: hmmmmm ... favourite? ... it'd be very hard to decide when i consider the other one's you've put in this minimal edit project ... i am remembering a couple of other one's you've put in here and sort of comparing them to this one ... which when you consider the amount of photographs i actually see is quite a compliment to you ie. that i'd remember your actual photographs and also remember that they are yours ... this is another superb image roger .. love your composition .. absolutely love the scene ... its a stunning photograph just the way it is ... of course if it was mine i'd be thinking of 'improvements' i could make in photoshop as soon as i saw it in the camera!!! ... |

MinimalDay4Web1.jpgby cogeroxComment by colorcarnival: I think candid photos of kids are the best. You can really tell they are having a lot of fun. If I took this, there would be some blur lol. Great capture! |

MinimalDay6.2Web2.jpgby cogeroxComment by roz: you live in the most stunning area ... i'm sooooo jealous ... those beautiful skies .. you are able to capture the most beautiful images roger with your camera .. i love this one so much ... love your composition and the colours in the sky ..
suggestions on how to edit are always a very personal thing ... i could say i'd do this and someone else would say they'd do that .. either way could work really well ... just different ... i've noticed on a previous one of yours that you actually went lighter .. but because i like the dark moody feel i just about cant help myself from going darker .. so i'd be intensifying the colours in the sky with adjustment layers ... like saturating selectively with hue/sat or even selective colour ... probably use levels to darken the sky .. and then erasing in the adjustment layer where it impacted on the landscape coz it'd make it too dark .. you erase in adjustment layers using black foreground colour and then if you erase too much then white foreground colour will just put it back, sort of .. i use the brush tool ... you dont use the eraser ... you may already know all this, but someone else reading this might not .. i dont think i'd crop it at all ... its a stunning image right now ...
of course there are many ways to do very similar things in photoshop .. if i had taken this shot i would have taken it in RAW and would probably process it twice ... once for the sky and once for the landscape ... or i may have done a similar thing by dodging and burning ... the list goes on ... |

MinimalDay6.2Web2.jpgby cogeroxComment by MelonMusketeer: This is pastel beauty just as you shot it. I like the rolling grass in the foreground, and that it showed up in the image without processing. The only thing that I could suggest would be to do away with the two stakes in the foreground.
This is a very "open spaces" sort of image. I like that a lot. |

MinimalDay2Web4.jpgby cogeroxComment by colorcarnival: Whoo hoo flamingo time. Maybe I should link mine with yours and we can create a pseudo panorama shot lol. I love the color and the reflections are sharp! |
