talk about an excellent photograph .. i reckon this could have got on the first page if it hadnt dq'd .. that's such a shame .. my condolences ... i would've been very upset if that had happened to me on such an great entry ..

I think what really helped this the most (though I quite like the original) is the crop. You've brought the kids closer to the viewer. The original colors are fine and are good here as well. Mostly I like the joy of this shot. That's something you can't add with processing. :-)

The look on the girl's face makes the picture for me. I wonder what she's looking at or whats on her mind? And why is her left hand in her jacket pocket? Is she feeding the animal, is she cold. Anyways, great job here!

The conversion really warmed this up nicely - very good color, good detail. I still love the look on the sheep's face, too. I do think I'd prefer it with a bit more room on the left and in the foreground, based on the "feel" of your original. Very nice post work, and thanks for sharing the details!

You really turned up the "Good Pic" slider on this one. This image will be giving your family a lot of smiles for a long time to come. It just looks like the whole essence of childhood outdoor play you have captured in one image. Great shot to begin with, and even better now. The crop helped a lot too.
