Day 10by tpbremerComment by bassbone: this seems so three dimensional - the high degree of detail, the extent of saturation, the use of HDR to accentuate the objects and dark areas
my one concern is the use of blurring - i am going to have to submit this for validation - i think someone is tinkering with the photos again!
and by the way - i thought that there were no rules in side challenges except those that you agree to use |

Day 8by tpbremerComment by bassbone: exquisite details captured here - a pretty mundane subject but extremely well delivered - good eye to find the light here |

Day 6by tpbremerComment by bassbone: the motion you have created here gives this semi engine almost the look of a souped up race car - very cool - i am not sure if it is legal in advanced - i think the creation of motion not present in the original is not allowed, except for in Expert editing where anything goes |

Day 7by tpbremerComment by bassbone: i like how you 'kicked up' the flatness and beauty of the Midwest skyline
that is home to me - and the way you enhanced the grain gives this a very old and period look to it
BUT...my favorite part is how you elongated the shot by the cropping to give the impression of the flatness of the land.... Message edited by author 2008-05-01 20:09:30. |

day-11-submit.jpgby tpbremerComment by bassbone: So, how many times have people rearranged the letters in Maroons...
I like the processing and the un-processed comparison side by side. It is funny how much more punch you can get out of photoshop.
The sky looks just a bit muddy in the shot from a texture standpoint but the rest of the image is nice and vibrant and pretty sharp as well.
Post comment note: I am originally from Illinois and always love to see spots from home. We have really good friends that live in Elgin - a nice community. Message edited by author 2008-05-01 15:37:20. |

Day 9by tpbremerComment by tnun: I too like the green with the macerated wood shavings. Good texture again, but would like more in the way of composition. (I did use a pencil yesterday - was d- lucky to find one too). |

Day 8by tpbremerComment by tnun: Can feel the texture - like iron filings. I wish you had done something more with the composition to feature the reflection in shaft, though over all the BW is really nice. |
