interesting perspective. one thing I notice, is the bright spots of moisture? Items like that are always my trouble... just doesn't feel right ya know? I think what it is, is that they are so bright, if you try to add more contrast, they really blow out, while everything else is still kinda flat... I enjoy the idea, and wonder what the colour version would look like. Maybe, next time, take a sheet of white paper and help de-fuse the flash a bit... sometimes it helps.

What a great catch! Love your choice of selective desat with the two men. Lol I was wondering about the partial coloring of the rope too. I guess I would not have looked at it as a distraction because it is part of what is connecting the two men. Nice score too!

Thanks everyone for their voting and comments. I wanted to add a note to those that questioned the fact that I didn't colorize the rope. I thought long and hard on this, looked at both versions and left it like this - I didn't want the rope to distract and pull people out of the picture. It doesn't really add anything on the edges anyway - but oh well, can't please everyone. Many great shots in this challenge, congrats to all the top ten and ribboners,
