Semi-precious Earringsby hahn23Comment by gipper11: I know these are copper but I think the way they are presented is distracting. I think maybe a solid background without the price tag and in better focus, with some of the dust particles edited out would make them look much better. |

Antlers at Sunrise by hahn23Comment by hahn23: Originally posted by Kroburg: Sorry Richard, I'm with Anita in this. Looking for a definition of a silhouette I found this on Wikipedia: A silhouette is the image of a person, animal, object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single color, usually black, its edges matching the outline of the subject. The interior of a silhouette is featureless, and the whole is typically presented on a light background, usually white, or none at all.. Maybe there are more definitions, but that does not make her comment ridiculous. I think she is entitled to say what she thinks, that's the whole purpose of giving comments.
Congrats with a beautiful image of these impressive elks and with the Yellow! |
Your definition and Neat's definition are much more narrow than intended by the original challenge description. A natural looking silhouette is not often pure black, unless doctored in Photoshop to the nth degree. In the case of my image, most voters felt it met the challenge. I do see the low votes, which evidently represent those who wanted to see an artificial silhouette. |
