I like the composition of this. The bird has great detail and the scattered rocks add more interest to the picture. I think a little more contrast between the bird and sand would really make the bird stand out more.

The scene is beautiful. It does not have to be everyhting sharp, I think the large aperture make the scene to look a little dreamy and peaceful. The person look a little bit off in the way that he's captured in the scene. He's does not do anything that ties him to the scene... he's just looking in a weird direction. Other than that I agree that he adds scale in the scene.

Lovely composition here and even on my dark monitor it looks fine. The only thing I can think of to improve a little would be if the two mian drops of water were tack sharp.
