I like this because it's one of those photos that make you gasp once you get past the thumbnail image. I want to learn how to take photos like these. There's so much depth and clarity (my landscape photos are yawn yawn flat). The light on the hills in the background is wonderful and the sky is beautiful. Such great detail in the foreground too. Beautiful!

A superb capture of the guy against the "white" of the poppy (which is really a brilliant orange/red, is it not?) - shows him off very nicely. I suspect you converted this using a red channel in some form? I like the way it rendered the poppy - very good detail.

Guess the excellent panning has been covered lol. I think you did well here considering the harsh light and it certainly lends itself to a B&W conversion. Good sense of motion with the main subject in decent focus. At first I wasn't sure about the composition (missing shadows etc) but its growing on me all the time.
