What jwillerton said. You asked on the forum if someone would tell you what you did wrong? IMHO: I learned the hard way with one of my first entries that focus is the one element you cannot do without here. You can be off on the color, exposure, or composition and not be scored down near as much as having poor focus. Probably because the others can be subject to interpretation, but the center of your subject (like the eyes of your child or face of your watch) must be crisp. I hope that helps. Don't be discouraged, there is so much for all of us to learn and this is a really awesome place full of really helpful people and tools! I know I've come a long way in my time here. Patience and a bit of thick skin helps! Good luck and happy picture trails :)

Adequate for the challenge, but not enough detail to hold interest. Noticeable jpeg artefacting around the edges of the glass detracts from the whole.

Unfortunately the subject is quite boring! If I could see the boy's expression of joy or something, I'd feel a stronger attachment to the pic.
