Well, I called that one - last place.
Ah well - no place to go but up from here !
Thank you beaflies, and everyone who commented during the challenge. I have to work on my close-up focus, but I'm not sure how yet. |

| What jwillerton said. You asked on the forum if someone would tell you what you did wrong? IMHO: I learned the hard way with one of my first entries that focus is the one element you cannot do without here. You can be off on the color, exposure, or composition and not be scored down near as much as having poor focus. Probably because the others can be subject to interpretation, but the center of your subject (like the eyes of your child or face of your watch) must be crisp. I hope that helps. Don't be discouraged, there is so much for all of us to learn and this is a really awesome place full of really helpful people and tools! I know I've come a long way in my time here. Patience and a bit of thick skin helps! Good luck and happy picture trails :) |

| I would like to see the watch face in focus. Otherwise, good lighting and good expsore. The watch is also positioned well, slightly diagonal. The shadows behind the watch are a little distracting and should have been taken out or by cloning or making the whole top portion of the image the darker blue. |

| I was going to try this shot also, but when I saw how the lighting was done I moved on. My biggest problem with your shot is that the focus is on the back of the band instead of the face. |
