How long did you have to wait for this opportunity?

Nice capture, and an interesting silhouette! Larger file size (up to 150k per site rules) might have eliminated some of the JPEG artifacts that are showing up in your background.

Comment by LindaLee:
I definitely see balance, if not symmetry. I am totally not crazy about the very dark shot. It does have kind of a negative space feel, but does not have a lot of impact for me when lighted (or non lighted!) this way.

man, that would have been a guaranteed winner if they were closer in sync (I know that would be pretty impossible though)... It's a little dark, could you have jacked up the levels a bit?

Nice idea. I don't think that the lighting fits for this image. There needs to be more light and not so much black. Good job.

Greets from the Critique Club

Initial Impression:
Crisp but no clear point of focus.

Challenge:
Meets the challenge perfectly

Composition:
For me, this is an oddly composed shot. I think I would have preferred more sky to balance all the detail in the bottom of the picture. However, I recognize that the sun is probably just above the top of this picture, making such a composition impractical. That said, I think you did well with what you had. The boat is the closest to being a focal point in this shot, but isn't big enough to hold my attention for long. I think that cropping out some of the foreground would focus more of the attention on the boat and make the nice cuves of the road a focal point as well while still retaining the feeling of "aboveness".

Technical:
Excellent. Details are crisp the shot is well exposed, even with the difficult job of shooting into the sun.

Overall:
Technically a good shot but lacking in the "wow" factor.
