You have a good eye, and for me you achieved what you set out to do very effectively. What's particularly interesting to me here is the use of the word "shot." With the title, and even starting in your narrative, I thought you were referring to a photograph (ie, a photographic "shot"). It took me awhile to get it; I assumed one kind of shot over the other given the context of where I read it. Anyway, I like the "shot" and what you've done with it.

this thumb caught my eye on your profile page and the title really sucked me in .. this is a totally awesome image in so many ways ... the touches of blur and sharpness so compliment each other and are placed perfectly .. true artistry ... the colours - excellent .. that guy with his hand in his mouth - wot a moment!!.. i dont know wot the balloon place is, but from this image it gives me a feeling of sadness that there is so much pain in this world .. it might be a real happy place where ppl go to have fun, but this image evokes an opposite feeling in me !!! ..:)

I like the closeup of the sleeping baby's face and the use of B/W. I am just not keen on the mirrored affect. The hands just seem to take away from the cute sleeping child. Nice focus and tones.

I like the toning tremendously here, and the mixture of textures is interesting. I'm not crazy about the rock in the bottom right, as it is pulling my eye out of the photo. Even though the grass is slightly off the placemat at the ends (which works, I think), the rock might be stronger a little to the left. Just my .02
