Hi there,

It is very interesting that I am critiquing your photo :) I will try to do my best.

For the challenge, I just can't see relativity, the photo looks pretty new to my eyes. However, even though I might be voting low for that reason, I really like the photo technically and compositional(ly). All my attention is on his face no matter where I look, which is perfect. His head is separated from background very successfully, without a disturbance, such as bright light. The window is the key to all, next to kid's face. It does tell a story... Maybe your point was the story rather than image itself.

I really do like this photo. I wish it would be in a different challenge, maybe "Black and White" or "portrait".
