Facing a Visual Cultureby posthumousComment by rinac: Hmmm, took me a bit to register she was blind. Honestly not sure what to think. My first reaction was... well... I'm clueless, got nothing really :D I suspect that says more about me than your image! Tones are a big plus though. Nice conversion. |

Dixie Porch Loungersby posthumousComment by jaysonmc: Jeez, almost a 6. Love the title, it cracks me up. Extra points just for the story. You probably got dinged a bit by the contrast police so prevalent on this site, but I think it works perfect as a cover as is. |

Dixie Porch Loungersby posthumousComment by khdoss: Hello from the Critique Club
First Impression,
Look like a country cover.
Technically.Nice details, door looks a little grainy compared to the rest of the picture.
Composition.
I like the set up of the picture, has an old feel to it. I would have like to have more porch roof in the picture.
Editing.. Feel just a little dark, could have used some color on the guitar.. with the advanced editing.
Over all a good picture and nice finish. Congrats
Best of luck in future challenges.

Dixie Porch Loungersby posthumousComment by carofo: This would have been an 8 for me if the subject had been so close to center. The white colum between the guitar and the window divide the image in two and make it look a bit static IMO. Great choice of B&W which show off the peeling paint nicely. |
