Disappearance at Duskby 777STANComment by idnic: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Hi Stan!
While this image clearly does meet the challenge it lacks an wow overall appeal. The trees make for a lovely backdrop, but the eye is drawn immediately away by the bright sun. The bird feeder almost seems accidental in the shot since the sun is so much brighter and thus more dominant. I think the same shot with the sun lined up through the feeder would have been quite dynamic.
Hope that helps.
Cindi

Disappearance at Duskby 777STANComment by vikas: I like how the tree is framing the top portion of the shot and the blue sky.. but it seems blown out too much around the sun. technically very difficult shot, still nicely done! |

Honeysuckle Bloomsby 777STANComment by angelfire: I really like this photo, but the description says that you can only use up to three images. Instead of giving it my instant 3 or 4 that I have given I gave it the actual score I feel it deserved minus one because it could just be an effect given to the image. While I like the honeysuckle photo, the smaller inside images make it look really busy. Plus other than the center one, the two side images have no particular drawing effect to them other than you highlighted them. Another reason is that I compare similar photos, flowers with flowers, cars with cars and so on when I vote and there is some increadable competition this time around. You have a really good eye. Please don't get too angry with my comment. :) |

Disappearance at Duskby 777STANComment by BakerBug: I don't see this as meeting the challenge. The main subject is too close to the corner to be considered following the rule of thirds. |
