before the evening serviceby klkitchensComment by Lydia: I like the image, excedingly well... but not the title.
The image... without the title, lets me imagine so many scenarios...
The title limits me.
I love the image... Well done!

natural beautyby klkitchensComment by nam: She is very lovely and obviously quite fair complected. I'm thinking I might have preferred a dark background - not sure. I do think I would have liked more definition in the eyes especially - she looks just a bit washed out to me. Voted earlier. |

...and the dish ran away with the spoonby klkitchensComment by CNovack: Voted earlier coming back to comment now.
Great job on putting together "spoonman" - I like the hands and feet especially:-) The diagonal angle of the composition's subjects adds visual interest and holds the eye's attention - had it been straight on it would not have been as interesting. I do like how the dish is ready to 'exit stage right' for that invokes the idea of motion. The slight blur on the main subject's also give the viewer a sense of motion which plays into the action in the rhyme 'dish ran away with the spoon'. My one big critique on the composition as a whole is that I wish the backdrop was not so sparse and stark - it calls out for something in the backdrop. |
