Cool shot and the texture works well. I like the tones too. Have you considered cropping more off the left and bottom (placing the gulls more in the lower left corner)? Just an unsolicited thought... ;-)

I never would have guessed this was IR. My first thought was that I see scenes like this all the time here and I would never be able to make mine look as good as this. The sky is so dramatic and I like that the tree is reaching up to touch the clouds. I think your perspective and black and white contrasts make this typical country scene so much more striking.
