The mountain is deserted but not desolate because there is no misery involved. Its very pretty but not quite desolation. I love how the colors reflect off the bottom of the clouds. 6

i think a bit less sky and a bit more of the mtn would help this image a lot, the sky to me is not what desolate is, to me it is more the barren deserted landscape.
i would highly suggest more land than sky for this one.
well done though just the same, and no offense intended as we all see things thru different eyes.

I like the perspective here and the old feeling you gave the picture. I wouldn't have guessed it was taken at night. I wish the line of trees came up a bit further to give more definition to the path that goes along the building.. perhaps cropping just a bit off of the left side so you don't see the end of the tree line? Well done... I think it should have scored higher than it did.
