This will sound really dumb - but I think you are afraid of getting your hopes dashed so what you are doing now with the title of the pic is making your negative reality come true. If you really really want this place, get in there, get your hopes up, change the title of this pic, and don't let fear get in the way! If you get your hopes up, and you do not get the place, all it really means is that something better has been waiting for you to come by. Paint your lovely picture with positive words. :)

Renting property seems to be a big thing here where I live and I hear the same kinds of stories - people who will do anything to get out of paying what they owe, and then trashing the place to boot. There is so much disrespect and lack of accountability in this world.

That said, I will echo what has already been stated here - this is an amazing photo! Using the mirror to capture the backstory and the vandalism is just some incredible storytelling. Very nice job!

You're right. What's to love? -mountains in the distance, a stand of trees, open space, fresh air (yes, from a city perspective, fresh air is part of the view), blue sky...
