Poetryby zxaarComment by zxaar: The dark version was my original vision about this photo. This is what I saw one I shot it.
I asked my brother to stop car and jumped out of it and took three pics. It was so surreal, these white birds flocking this tree while the day was dying, right there in front of me.
For the pastles version, I guess time to time painter in me comes out and I try to have party with colors. This is one good thing about being hobby photographer. |

I love the composition, not so much the color/tone processing. I'd love to see this in a low or no-sat version. It should have done better IMO. It is a lovely, peaceful setting. |
I do value your comment a lot. |

Poetryby zxaarComment by krnodil: I like your dark version better, to be honest. This one has it's charms - the nice pastel colors for one - but I find myself wishing there were more contrast and detail to be seen in the very center of the shot, all the crowded together branches and shrub. |

Poetryby zxaarComment by Kelli: I do prefer the dark version for a print, though the pastels would be great for a painting. I tend to also make my pictures into a "painting", I think because I wish I could paint. Nice work and hooray for those of us who love our pictures no matter what the score. |

Poetryby zxaarComment by figaro: Brave, fascinating, different, but in my opinion ultimately unsuccessful. The 'pastels' are fine but too pink for my liking. But with an image like this we're into properly subjective territory. Kudos for putting this shot in. |

Exactly my thinking about that version and this is why I loved that one. White birds in dark.
This one is because of colors. As posthumous said 'pastels', he was correct this was the exact approach to this one. |

you said correctly, this is type of thing only few can like or appreciate. I personally would paint it one day and hang it in drawing room. I love colors. |
