dear fatherby magnetic9999Comment by myqyl: IMO, the soft focus didn't work. This would have been much more striking (to me) in sharp focus. |

dear fatherby magnetic9999Comment by Kimbly: Good choice on the black and white. I definitely wouldn't want to run into him in a dark alley. Too bad it's so pixelated. Effing Kodak!!! ;-) |

dear fatherby magnetic9999Comment by FranziskaLang: i totally can't make up my mind whether the graininess or oversharpening )or whatever this effect is) is good or not. -- gr8photos (5) |

dear fatherby magnetic9999Comment by crisa58: Did you over sharpen this? The teeth and shoulder bones have weird little white dots indicative of Photoshop sharpening, in my limited experience. The eyes are quite nice however. |

dear fatherby magnetic9999Comment by chariot: focus is off, very grainy image. other than that I really like it. Probably could have captured more at the bottom and left off the open space at the top. |

Clarity of Visionby magnetic9999Comment by magnetic9999: i like to take the offbeat path, so i steered away from glass and water. i had taken a macro of my cat's eye before that came out really nice, so i wanted to try it again. the cat's eye really has a lot more curvature than the human's. well, kitty wasn't so cooperative this time, she kept trying to nuzzle the camera and roll over. so i turned to my long-suffering wife : ) .. i tried a number of angles and came up with this amazing edge lighting that really seemed to evoke someone looking at the something visionary. the light source is a bare bulb about 5 feet away in front of the eye and a little bit to her right hand side. this was a fun one. thanks for all the positiivity, folks : ) |
