Green without envyby hutch699Comment by C-town driver: Very reminiscent of the famous National Geographic cover shot. I like the detail and focus on this. IMHO more exposure on the eyes may have added to the shot, as the burst of color seems to stem more from the head-dressing rather than the eyes. Yet, the eyes are the main focal point of the shot. Just my humble opinion, nice shot nonetheless... 8 |

Reworked, post commentsby hutch699Comment by theSaj: Cropping is too tight to the chin, kinda disturbs the whole photo for me. Otherwise the eyes are nice but the make-up job or flesh tones don't do justice. Her cheek on the left looks almost bruised.
The eyes are superbly captured. And if you zoomed out a tiny bit I think it would be much improved.

I'm not crazy about the blouse/scarf around the neck - maybe you could clone that part out, although it does tie in with the lip color. |

Reworked, post commentsby hutch699Comment by DrAchoo: Try adding some red in post-processing. That may give her skin a little life "life". I like the crop and composition. Just to try...if you are going to reshoot...try having her look somewhere else rather than at the lens. Serious expressions often turn pleasantly wistful or melancholy if the subject doesn't look at us directly. |
