Archesby AliciaComment by Jutilda: I like the big/small ratio. This is really beautiful. I can see it on the cover of an architecture magazine. The colors are so soft and pleasing. :~) |

krazy kittyby AliciaComment by cgino: And maybe with a little fractalius added in the mix? :-) This is very cool, I love seeing the contact between human and cat! I relate so much to this image, having tried to wrangle my kitties into photo subjects myself; and even for those who do not try to manage cats this is a great abstract! |

Shellsby AliciaComment by nixter: The little hermit crab that usually lives here has gone out, and left the lights on to discourage burglars. : ) |

Shellsby AliciaComment by TheStick: First thing I thought was how in the world did you get a little light under that thing!!! Very cool, don't think I've ever seen such a neat trick! Should have saved one for the free challenge! Message edited by author 2009-01-31 21:05:37. |

Shellsby AliciaComment by Jessi: It does look like it's illuminated from within--wonderful!! I really like this. The shadows are similarly incredible. |

Vanishby AliciaComment by Germaine: Great capture! Looks like they have the same kind of trash bins as we have here. Nothing you can do will disguise them. 8(
I used to work across the street from the Heard. I'd take my lunch and eat on the side lawn which has now become a parking lot. I love the place. Often when I fly over to visit relatives in Tucson, I'll fly to Phoenix, visit the Heard, and then drive to Tucson. |

Nightfallby AliciaComment by boyd2000: Following up on your forum post about your biggest challenge disappointment. Maybe my notebook monitor isn't displaying this properly, because nobody said this previously, but to me it looks far too dark on the land and too light in the sky. It looks to me like a grad ND filter or bracketing and tone mapping would really help it. Also the horizon looks tilted to me, but it's hard to tell with these landscapes that may be slopes. |
