Fallenby ElaineComment by citymars: I think this is a really good composition. The pale green is striking against the dark earth. For me an example of "found" art. Good job. If you wanted to get crazy about it you could clone out some of the random bits and possibly burn (darken) the outside area to further draw attention to the leaf, but this is very nice as is. |

Let There be Lightby ElaineComment by rachelellen: Cool. At first glance when I saw the grain I just thought everything was a bit grimy -- reminded me of the switch on the wall of the bathroom at the mechanics' shop where my dad worked when I was a girl. ;-) You're right, though; the grain adds a lot of interest. Edgy is a good word. |

Bricksby ElaineComment by citymars: I like the two shades of brick against the grey. Makes me think of Mondrian, though the mortar on the right seems broader than that on the left, which throws the precision off a bit. Is that effect caused by the bricklaying or the camera angle?

Daisyby ElaineComment by kteach: I agree with Sheryll about the red bug/dot. I like that you didn't center this one, but left it slightly off to the right, and it looks like you chose to show us the whole petals of the prettiest side. I think this could use just a bump as far as either levels or contrast too. Nice job! |
