Sweet sixteenby edmengComment by Kelli: Back to comment... What a beautiful girl! Sweet look of innocence mixed with the I'm almost a grown woman expression. Well done! |

Sweet sixteenby edmengComment by J-Me: Love the softness of focus and the lack of heavy contrasting that we're so used to praising here in DPCland! BEAUTIFUL portrait shot and beautiful young lady! |

jogging on the beachby edmengComment by edmeng: Originally posted by Yo_Spiff: Oh, wow, this is very cool looking. A great feeling of dimension and action to this. Judging from the apparent location and the discussion in the scores thread, I've got a fair guess this is a Melethia shot. If it's not, then make sure to take that as a compliment. |
Thank you, Steve. I'm taking it as a compliment. |

jogging on the beachby edmengComment by MaryO: Just look at all the gulls! Great job to get them all in focus; I especially love that one right in front about to lift off. And then those two people perfectly outlined by gulls. Really fun image! |

jogging on the beachby edmengComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: This is quite lovely. WIth photographs, sometimes it's the small things that matter; here those small things are the walking people in the distance, framed beautifully by the birds and shrouded somewhat in mist/spray. The birds themselves are caught beautifully and the reflections are also well captured. The sepia tomes work well, though I suspect this image would look good no what toning the image had.
Critical stuff: Nothing really.
Overall: Excellent capture and presentation. |
