beautiful image. a poet once told me that birds are letters on the page of sky.

maybe you're hiding your words too much. perhaps certain fragments should stick out more. maybe even relineate your poem so certain words appear in certain places.

Actually, I did like this one because of the "dog's world" viewpoint of it. In a perfect world there would be a bit more light in his/her eyes. But it's definitely very much "dog". And the nose doesn't need to be in focus for me - works quite well the way it is.

I think it suits the category wonderfully. I like the wrinkled paper. The silhouette of the bare tree and birds is classic. I love the last line of the poem.
