Day 9 - Street at Sunset - Editedby Bruce_the_RobertComment by roz: hi rob ... and WOW ...i love the process you've done with this ... i love that sky .. you've made an amazing sky awesome!!! and those fantastic silhouetted brances you've been able to intensify sooooooo well ...
i really really liked the original .. that dark scene on the road with the shadows and the light in the house which you've cropped out ... this scene'd be open to a few different approaches and because its a great shot to start with they could all work equally well ..

Day 8 - Church - Editedby Bruce_the_RobertComment by roz: beautiful result rob ... interested in those three resizes in a row ... must be a reason and i'd love to know wot it is!! :) .. like is it better to resize in smaller increments than to do it all at once??? ...
love the beautiful blue you've achieved and the excellent tones in the steeple ...

Day 8 - Church - Editedby Bruce_the_RobertComment by cogerox: Well this does NOT look like the work of someone unskilled in PS. I'm very impressed with the clarity you have been able to achieve in relation to the original post. Quite a difference. I really like the depth of color and the richness in the tonality. Very nice editing in my book. |

Day 8 - Church - Editedby Bruce_the_RobertComment by Melethia: I like how your edit brought out the detail on the church - very good work there! I think the sky may be a bit too blue but not by a whole lot. And there's something in the clouds just right of the steeple - it may be a bird, but you may want to clone it anyway. Very nice work on this! |

Day 7.2 - Sittingby Bruce_the_RobertComment by Melethia: She does look quite involved with whatever it is she's doing! I like the "ground level" view a lot and it's something you may want to do more of when you get the chance to do so. Don't know how easy it would be to clone out the car, but that's because I suck at it. :-) As for the minimal aspect, not sure if you could have moved to frame this such that the car wasn't in the frame in the first place. I realize (and know from experience, too) that trying to get the right elements in the right place at the right time ain't an easy thing to do! |

Day 7.1 - Kiskaby Bruce_the_RobertComment by Alicia: Wonderful detail on the fur - and what a pretty color! It goes well with the dirt (that doesn't sound right, but I hope you know what I mean). The composition is fabulous. |

Day 7.2 - Sittingby Bruce_the_RobertComment by roz: love this shot rob ... love the posture of the child with the legs all splayed and i love the scene ..
you say you're thinking of cropping drastically and maybe getting rid of the car ... i dont mind the car and the cropping'd be a very personal thing .. coz i really like the foreground ground sort of coming at you till its out'v focus .. but that's just me ... i'd have been thinking of taking the picture again without the car rather than trying to get rid of it in photoshop ... looking at it again right now, and i agree that it might look better without the car ... this is one of those times when you wish you'd been able to see the image better in the camera, rather than when you got it into your computer?? ... |
