What? ... is name of third crater from leftby KiwiShotzComment by mycelium: you're right, the detail retention is impressive-
check this out-
2560x1920 = 4915200 pixels
711x502 = 356922 pixels
356922/4915200 = 7.26%
Rather than 26% of the image area, your crop was actually only 7.26% - and the detail is still that good. WOW! |

An Isaiah Burstby KiwiShotzComment by ShotMD: Wonderful colors. A fun and energetic expression. There is a slight motion blur (obviously)... I'll come back and check on your shutter speed when the challenge is over. I like the way the folds of cloth guide your eye back to the boy... nice compositon. |

Proud Kiwiby KiwiShotzComment by Germaine: If this isn't going in the challenge, you must have something really great waiting for us. My only suggestion, and this is just my own taste coming in here, would be to use a little of the dodge tool on the edge of the crown of his cap. It's coming across on my monitor as blending right into the black background. I'd like to see a tiny bit of definition there. Maybe dodge a little bit under the brim to separate his dark glasses from the dark shadow across his nose.
Great candid. Thanks. |

An Isaiah Burstby KiwiShotzComment by C-town driver: Great candid. I love the feel and emotive quality of this shot. The color saturation is also excellent. IMHO the focus seems a tad off. Mostly evident in the face and areas of the background material. Looks like the lighting conditions were quite bright. Perhaps you could have gotten away with shutter speeds a few stops higher to improve focus? Just my opinion, nice shot nonetheless.... 7 |
