I like the wrapped gift; that's a nice touch. But the whites are a bit overexposed, and you lost some detail because of it.

'3/4' - maybe, the quality is not there. I see the idea/concept, but the 'blur', etc takes too much from this. The 'grill' perhaps has potential, but overall this shot has a 'harsh' feel to it in my opinion, especially given your subject, which to be honest I did not 'note' until I read your title/comments re the rose petals.

'6' maybe, likely would have commented about symmetry, the wide framing not 'enhancing' at this size etc. Gave the 'real entry' a 7. Think you made the right choice, unless you could have perfected this one - but two very different shots/choice.
