 Originally wanted to enter this for Free Study. First time I've gone up this close to shoot with my Sony DSCW1. The leaf was only about 2.5 inches and I almost trampled on it. Didn't do much editing except basic levels and slight sharpening. Besides the macro, what I wanted to try different was the crop, hence the elongated horizantal style.

'6' maybe, likely would have commented about symmetry, the wide framing not 'enhancing' at this size etc. Gave the 'real entry' a 7. Think you made the right choice, unless you could have perfected this one - but two very different shots/choice.
