Day 22 - The Lookby KenComment by Germaine: Well... I guess you can say this was a mood shot. ;) I really like the use of b&w, and the soft focus. You'd probably pay extra for that from a professional! |

Day 22 - The Lookby KenComment by hajeka: Wonderful capture. Looks like "a bit annoyed" is an understatement. Not one of the moments I would make a photo of my kids, but I'm glad you did (and still have a working camera). |

Week 07 - Black Iceby KenComment by SherwinJames: Man, this is good. Awesome textures here. I would love to photograph a scene like this. Another good option for this shot would have been a closer view of the structure to the right off in the distance.

Week 07 - Black Iceby KenComment by Melethia: I prefer the B&W version here. Why? Because by removing the color, you've focused on the form and the light, and the way that ice looks is far more impressive (to me, anyway) in B&W. Excellent compositional choice. |

Day 19 - Bobby Beach.jpgby KenComment by cogerox: This is one of the best compositions I've seen in this side challenge. Foreground to background has interest, rule of thirds, pleasing to the eye, tells a story, very strong painterly feel, wonderful color, texture and tonality. Can't improve on it. Thanks for sharing it, Ken. Methinks you've found your brain. |

Day 22 - The Lookby KenComment by Alicia: Even with "the look", Taylor makes for a good and interesting model. Love your processing here. |

Day 21 - Trainsby KenComment by Alicia: I love how the colors turned out on this - very painterly overall.
My dad was a locomotive engineer before he became an opera singer (I'm serious) and when we still lived in the US, he'd take me up in the locomotive sometimes. Somehow, in my subconscious mind, those must have been the best times of my childhood. Consequently I'm crazy about trains and I get excited when I hear one, or when I see a photo like this. You saying you have trains everywhere made me salivate - I would love that. |
