HDR 01by KenComment by RulerZigzag: 12 RAW files! Nothing like brand new RAM in the PC. I usually go as far as 5 RAW files. I don't think this is too far, HDR looks great on Wooden subjects with multiple exposures separated by a stop or two. |

Week 16by KenComment by alliebeal: my first thought was that it looks like a little miniature model. Then to read that you shot it to look miniature...well I guess it worked! Neat shot! |

Segueby KenComment by Sirashley: Wow, I had to take my hand off of the alt button so I could give this a 10... Simply amazing shot, should be a ribbon. Lastly, you'd better post how you took this shot and what you used... :) |

HDR 01by KenComment by digifotojo: The only thing I see wrong with this is there's too much light and not enough dark to balance out the contrast. The detail is excellent but I think your exposure absorbed too much light as indicated by the circular flares in the underside of the overhang. Good attempt though!! |

HDR 01by KenComment by Ken: Originally posted by david_c: I think it's a fine example of HDR. One thing I see in this image, which I've seen in my own attempts, is the odd phenomenon when there's a straight vertical line...such as the utility pole just to the left of the bright pink (cherry?) tree. One side seems to take the dark value, while the opposite goes for the highlights. HDR app developers, please take note! |
I noticed that also and tends to happen quite a bit when I tonemap. I don't see as much of this when I use Artizen to tonemap, but overall I prefer Photomatix. |
