Nice macro. I love the detail and focus on the purple flower here. The color saturation is showing intensly on my monitor as well. The one thing I found distracting is the artifacts/bleeding apparent around the purple flower and some of the leaves. I'm going to take a guess (and I could be way off here) and guess its a remnant of using layers/paint brush tools in p-shop? Just my opinion, nice shot nonetheless

This is suffering from very sloppy post-editing. It looks very cut-and-paste to me. The white flowers pull focus from the purple flower. I think it would have been better to isolate the single flower against the dark background.

You nailed the assignment...Highlight subject from behind without making the subject a silouette. Smooth move using reflected light on the head. However, since half the figure is a silouette and the opaque aspect of the subject precludes translucence, the score is necessarily lower.
