Legs in the background are too much of a distraction and the other leg on the left should be all the way in or all the way out of the photo. Unnessary items clutter photos and draw attention away from your main subject. In addition, your horse isn't wearing horse shoes, shoes being something used to cover and protect feet. This is basically a photo of a horses "foot". sorry to get technically, but if the shoe doesn't fit......

Thanks to everyone that voted. I was surprised that the shot didn't do better, but many of the shots I liked were down in the upper middle of the pack. Thanks for the comments and suggestions, I am trying learn and any feedback helps :)

Good contrasting colors: white shirt, popsicle colors and dark tree background. For me, this would also have worked well in the color portrait challenge.

I like what you are going for here but with all of the brightly blurred background, the clear small leaf gets kind of lost in the shuffle. I'd like to see it better against a more subdued background perhaps. I think the impact would work if the background were solid white or black.
