Jason, I really liked this photo and overlooked the technicals while voting because it has such great debth and story. I saw it as an us versus them, dark side versus light, good versus evil story...

Also, is that the flash next to her? What kind of material are you using as a backdrop?
Are you using a light behind the backdrop?
Sorry if these are stupid questions....

One more thing, if that is the flash beside her, how do you set it up to use without having it on the camera?

Nevermind the setup, Doc (very helpful, BTW).... how do you get a rugrat to sit still for a portrait? Even at 1/250, mine is just a blur. :-)
