I love the fantasy feel to this shot. Once again I've used a heavy hand in PP, but screw the purists. :) Also, I sewed that cape myself!

The scene is primarily lit with a gas lantern in front of Laine. The shot is underexposed by 2 stops and shot at dusk. PP involves, umm, 12 layers. S/H, brightness, Orton Effect layers, color balance, burn, dodge, NI, sharpen.

It was taken in Hendricks park which is the oldest park in Eugene.

Well, no ribbon and no 7+ (that fell in the last hour), but I DID win the competitive Little Red Riding Hood division. ;)

the look opposite the candle adds to the tension - i am just not convinced about the centered composition... still it got a 7

Gasp! I wish I could of been able to do a little red cap one like this. It's absolutely beautiful, and was what I had envisioned but did not know how to do. A 10 from me :)

Good composition, I like how just the one little area is lit, I'm guessing there's a fire or torch or something directly in front of her? Nicely done.

Nicely done-- Did you use a second light source for the pool of light or was that skillful editing? Either way, I expect it to finish high.
