Those eyes pull me into the image and feel it rather than see it.

This is truly what Photography is all about.
Precious moments captured forever, that unlike that pretty flower, or landscape, will slip by, never to be seen again.

On the technical side its a good photo, has excellent DOF and rule of thirds is used effectivly. I just don't like the subject. Nothing personal.

This shot just has such power. From the expression on you face to the very rough texture of the make-up it just has a very tribal feeling to it. The lighting was spot on, as the shadows don't overpower your eyes. There is still enough to see that twisted thoughts are running though your head.
