.......by NaldComment by f-32: Interesting pose, Steve! Three things brought into sharp focus (to my eye, at least!) One, the wedding ring. Highlighted and tight focused. That's a big part of who you are. Two, the sleeves. Were you inspired by the reaction from the reaction of that Colorado photog in Moab? Three, your face. Open, straight ahead, searching. Helluvashot, all in all, my friend.
(Interesting, on further looking, that you have two shirts on, yet are stressing the tats. The white under the black almost looks like a clerical collar. Must've been YOU had the epiphany in Moab!) |

.......by NaldComment by rox_rox: Ahh, Steve...I thought this guy looked familiar, but I wouldn't have figured it out if not for your very kind comment on mine! The intense gaze, the hands, forward leaning pose and the tatoos all make for a powerful and compelling composition. Nice contrast, and sharp focus. The BG blur is a little rough around the edges; but I couldn't have done any better. I tried on mine and finally gave up. Very nice image! |

.......by NaldComment by alien2thisworld: I like the lighting of this shot overall. I think the shadows on your face created by the light down in front create sortof a menacing feel (which is good if that is what you were going for). I like the symmetrical composition and I think this works very well in black and white. |
