day-19-slice-of-life-bonus-.jpgby joynimComment by Melethia: I like this alot - the "damn it's a nice day, I'm lovin' the sun, and no you can't take my picture" look is priceless. And the white hairs signifying his age. My dog was black and white like this and he looked so dignified as he aged. Sweet shot. |

Day 19 slice of lifeby joynimComment by Melethia: The neat thing is that you're learning new stuff - some of it works, some of it doesn't, but at least you're learning. I've discovered that I often don't apply things as strongly as I could, mostly because I've been looking at the picture for too long to begin with. Try editing it with a heavy hand - go overboard. Save the PSD file and go do something else. Go back to it later and look at it again, and tone it down a bit and see what you think. (Not that I ever actually do this, but it sounds like a good idea.) |

Day 19 slice of lifeby joynimComment by Jutilda: Love the markings. Sometimes, I'll use a soft paintbrush and actually "paint" a deeper color as long as it doesn't look fake. You can also do a "replace color" and sometimes it works, but often times it doesn't. Harsh lighting is a booger to fix. |

Day-18-slice-of-life.jpgby joynimComment by riversong: This is such a lovely image. You captured her sweet essence so well by using the soft look. She looks relaxed, which is something a professional can't always capture! I love the complimentary colors and I agree... this needs to be framed and hung on her wall! Nice job!!

Day 19 slice of lifeby joynimComment by hajeka: Your model looks beautiful here and with some editing you can probably make a great photo from this. I recognize your problems with the editing, something it works well, but mostly it don't. |
