Quiet Reflection - No Mirrorby SimmsComment by Simms: OK, for those of you who no doubt marked this down as a 1 for using a mirror.. Look again, specifically at the wicks on the candles.. What you are seeing is a empty picture frame with the same scene set up on both sides using identical objects.. Those who bothered to look into it, thanks for voting.. To be truthful I was expecting a higher position but then again for my first attempt I cannot expect miracles, I am still perfecting my technique and if I can place higher on the garbage challenge then I will be happy.. Mark. |

Quiet Reflection - No Mirrorby SimmsComment by csb: duplicate set of items and an empty frame? Just a guess.. its well done, but the lighting is a bit soft. For all those people that likely recommended this for disqualification (mirror), tell them to take a closer look, especially at the candle wicks. -8 |

Quiet Reflection - No Mirrorby SimmsComment by floyd: Your light, framing and arrangement are all good. There's plently to look at and just a subtle clue that this isn't a real reflection (which is fine by me btw - In my opinion this fits the challenge just fine). My only question here is - why? Why make the reflection so similar that you can't tell it's not a real reflection? I'd bet that many voters didnt even spot it. 6 - floyd |
