Congratulations on another well deserved #1!

I like the steps you took to produce this outstanding final image. Those are now registered in the back of my mind, especially the layer manipulation to enhance the image in different ways. Removing halos is a must.

I have absolutely no idea what phyto-fractals are, but they are fairly amazing! Very interesting lighting, with warm tones on one side, and cool tones on the other. Lots of visually engaging patterns, repetition, and texture, but in a way that is not busy or overwhelming. Composition works beautifully to draw the eye throughout the photo. Home page for sure. 10

The lighting and colour conveys quite an interesting sense of mood - like watching a strange sci-fi film or documentary on life in the deep deep deep oceans... I like it!

only qualm I have with this is the gratuitous frame...other wise excellent...like the pictorial contrasts of the new and old.
