The Smileby jjbeguinComment by ladyhawk22: I see the smile, and I think B&W tones work ok here. But I feel like there's too much foreground in this shot...the interest (to me) is in the upper portion of this shot. |

The Smileby jjbeguinComment by L1: Interesting...I'm not following the title to any particular element in the shot, but it's your image so I guess you titled it what you thought would work best. ;) Personally, I feel there is way too much foreground to keep a viewer interested in the shot for very long...having to seek out the tiny elements in just the top third of the image is difficult at best. Nice black and white conversion, however. Good luck in the challenge. :) |

I couldn't (no really, I couldn't) have put it more succinctly myself. There is something here that no other art-form (or, if that's too loaded a phrase, then 'medium', 'means of communication' will serve) can do; that is 'composition', and an only be at its highest in a photograph. |
I quoted because that's how I felt as well. Good composition. |

Track Side Napby jjbeguinComment by agenkin: Not bad. The details in the bottom half are unintelligible - I am guessing that there are railway tracks there, but I can't see them. Also, the horizontal division of the frame into two halves is a bit boring. |
