I like this shot. Animals in nature are a good combo.

Hopefully he doesn't chase trains! Sweet looking dog - the color scheme of the background matches him nicely.

nice leading line but it takes away from the subject, might have been better with a closer crop or different angle

What a fabulously handsome dog you have here, he screams, throw me the ball. maybe just a tad bit more cropped and seeing only one rail line would have brought the dog in a little closer.

What a beautiful dog he is! Lovely colour and detail in his fur. I think I might have cropped this shot to get the focus on the dog (and eliminate some of the white sky)......... and maybe rotated it slightly to the left.

Was this a leading line out-take? :)

Odd tilt to the photo, I think... and it doesn't appear to be a pet portrait since there's so much in the photo other than the pet.

First impressions: Lighting is sweet

Exposure: Seems to be bang on. No overly hot spots and nothing seems to be blocked up in the dark areas.

Composition: There are a lot of elements in this image, two primary and a number of secondary ones. To me the hut with the canoes and the reflection are too much in the middle making the image rather static. Because of the angle of the shot, it may be beneficial to crop the image on the right, excluding the cranes.

Impact: The impact in the image is generated by the lighting. I think more impact could be achieved if the hut and reflection was off centre.

Cheers!

Keep shooting.

Perhaps a different vantage point would have produced more reflection.
