blur is very welcome for a shelf of memorabilia, and I also like how the square seems to cut out so much of it. this is how we see our grandmother's shelf, unfocused glimpses.

the sky is bonkers. I can't really take the image seriously with that sky, but I enjoy taking images unseriously, so that's not a problem. the best part is the glorious shadow of the fence on that sungilded dirt.

So the pot called the kettle black? This is another that I think I would enjoy more if it was cropped. Reflections usually add so much to a still life but IMO this one does not.

many years ago, before I found DPC, I hated blur. now I see how new realities come from it. the circle in a corner is a good way to compose a square.

Oh to allow oneself to fall into a picture that one might easily, impatiently, trot past. With the help of the title the eared pot, the table and the mug appear. Can't make out what's towards the lower left. The heavy grain plays with accepted reality as edges disintegrate, only to reform by dint of suggestion. The composition of tones can be seen on an atomic level. Thanks for the invitation.
